Our current product focus is Wispers (wispers.dev), which lets your software connect securely without ever exposing it to the public internet. Its infrastructure is cryptographically incapable of reading your traffic or impersonating your nodes — sovereignty enforced by construction, not by promises or jurisdiction.

Wispers Connect (beta): An embeddable library that gives any application its own private, encrypted network. MIT-licensed.

Wispers Files (beta): Share files directly between your devices, end to end, with nothing stored in the middle. Available on desktop and mobile.

Wispers Access (in development): Reach your internal web apps and services from anywhere, without exposing them to the internet. Ideal for internal tools and vibe-coded apps secure enough for your team, but not for the open internet.

Who we are

Scheidegger Technology was founded by Matthias Scheidegger. His 2007 PhD was on overlay networks, the same technology behind Wispers nearly two decades later.

In between, he spent 17 years at Google: building large-scale systems in Ads and Search. Most recently, in Security SRE, he ran cryptographic key infrastructure and worked on sovereign cloud (S3NS).

Our working hypothesis is that AI delivers its biggest productivity gains when it assists senior engineers. The AI writes code faster than any human, but can make serious mistakes while appearing perfectly confident. A senior engineer has the experience to catch them. Under the right conditions, one engineer can reach the output that used to require a small team.
